[CLOSED] React Developer - Permanent - In-House - Fully Remote

In Check Software are recruiting strong React developers to join the team on various client projects. Applications must be keen and competent, and well disciplined when working remotely.

Creative and adaptive developers who continually strive to improve their own skills will be most successful in this role. You will help add build and test new features on existing projects within complex ecosystems working alongside both in-house colleagues and external client teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Use React, Redux, JavaScript, SCSS and a mixture of different libraries, frameworks and persistence technologies to assist in the creation of software applications against requirements set by the business and clients
• Recommend and execute improvements, contributing towards the creative and technical decision making
• Help manage the build, compilation, and packaging of React and docker applications, making improvements to bundles and pipelines where required
• Work to develop consistent and engaging user interfaces across all projects
• To aid in the full software development life cycle including translating user requirements, creating UI components and styles, deploying styles and amending existing components to new standards
• Generate ideas with team members and offering innovative solutions
• Produce clean, testable, and efficient code
• Work in an agile way to meet tight deadlines
• Maintain and improve the performance of existing software to ensure strong functionality and optimisation
• Review code for accuracy and functionality offering recommendations and guidance for improvement
• Stay up to date with new technology

Must have:

• Experienced in coding with HTML, CSS and JavaScript
• Experience using JavaScript libraries such as React, Redux & Node
• Knowledge of best practices in React development
• Experience using SCSS
• Experience of git version control
• Experience working to UI styles and standards
• An understanding of UX/UI principals to provide intuitive software solutions
• Experience working in an agile environment

Desirable:

• Experience of using feature flags, configuration, and permissions to control access to front end features
• Experience creating microservices
