Our client is recruiting for an ML DevOps Engineer with experience across AWS, ML cloud systems and ML development tools to join their expanding team.

The role will involve collaborating with the various teams with a specific focus on managing the cloud infrastructure for machine learning workloads. You would be responsible for translating the needs and requirements (security, data governance and performance) from all stakeholders into solid and reliable machine learning products in production.

The company uses Agile methodologies to deliver software products that are used all over the world by large corporations in the mobility sectors. The type of projects they are working on include generating insights for driving behaviour, using machine learning to assess crashes and insurance claims, and developing mobile and web applications.

Applicants will be required to work in the Epsom office for a minimum number of days per month as set by Group policies but otherwise are free to work from home, if desired. For the right candidate, we may be able to negotiate a fully remote role.

Our client will consider applicants from mid to senior levels with salaries between 50-75k, although this is open for negotiation for the right candidate.

You will be most likely to be successful in this position if you:

  • Have experience working with Agile frameworks like Scrum or Kanban
  • Are proactive and driven, with a keen attitude to learn and grow with the team
  • Have experience building and maintaining data pipelines, orchestrators and APIs in python using tools like S3, Airflow, Kafka and FastAPI.
  • Have experience with AWS
  • Understand infrastructure as code, CI/CD, monitoring, and alerting principles
  • Enjoy paying attention to details
  • Are a great communicator in a diverse team
  • Enjoy writing, reading, maintaining and improving documentation

Our client has expressed a desire for a candidate with a degree (or higher) in a STEM area or equivalent work experience. Multiple years of experience with ML infrastructure, devops, streaming pipelines, python, docker and microservices will be seen favourably. Familiarity with serverless projects and JVM languages is additionally desirable.
