Our client is recruiting a Data Analyst to join a fast-paced and expanding team in an innovative environment.

The role will work closely with colleagues across several different disciplines to identify patterns and insights which will help shape the products and services offered by the company. The projects they are working on include generating insights for driving behaviour, using machine learning to assess crashes and insurance claims, and developing mobile and web applications.

The company uses Agile methodologies to deliver software products that are used all over the world by large corporations in the mobility sector.

Applicants will be required to work in the Epsom office for a minimum number of days per month as set by Group policies but otherwise are free to work from home. We may be able to negotiate a fully remote role for the right candidate.

You will be most likely to be successful in this position if you:

  • Have experience working with Agile frameworks like Scrum or Kanban
  • Are proactive and driven, with a keen attitude to learn and grow with the team
  • Have intermediate SQL skills (joins, subqueries, grouping, aggregation)
  • Have experience creating business-level reports, often graphical
  • Have good Excel skills, including pivot tables
  • Have basic python skills (ideally using SciPy/Pandas)
  • Enjoy paying attention to details
  • Are a great communicator in a diverse team
  • Enjoy writing, reading, maintaining and improving documentation

It would be desirable if you also have experience with data mining, Tableau, telematics data (GPS, accelerometers, gyro), working with large/imperfect datasets or machine learning.
