UK Glassforce Limited (“UKGF”, “we”, “our”, “us”) values the privacy of our contractors. This Privacy Policy explains how the UKGF Contractor app (“the App”) collects, uses, stores, and shares personal data when you use the App to carry out assigned jobs.

The App is intended for authorised UK Glassforce contractors only. By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

a) Account Information

• Full name
• Email address
• Phone number
• Username and password (created by UKGF head office staff via Firebase Authentication)

b) Job Data

• Job assignments allocated through the UKGF internal system
• Forms completed in the App (e.g., risk assessments, follow-up works, customer completion forms)
• Photos uploaded as part of job documentation (job progress, completed works, etc.)

Note: We do not collect GPS/location data.

c) Technical Data

• Device and usage data (e.g., crash reports, performance analytics) via Firebase Crashlytics and Analytics.

2. How We Use the Information

We use the data collected for the following purposes:

• To authenticate contractors and manage secure logins.
• To enable completion of assigned jobs and store associated job records.
• To maintain accurate and verifiable documentation for compliance and customer records.
• To improve App performance, monitor crashes, and resolve technical issues.
• To communicate with contractors about jobs and company operations.

3. How We Store and Protect Data

• All job data (forms, photos, records) is stored securely on UK Glassforce private servers (hosted on UKGF-managed infrastructure, with data centres located in the UK/EU where possible).
• Account details are managed through Firebase Authentication, provided by Google.
• We apply appropriate technical and organisational security measures to protect your data, including encryption and access controls.

4. Sharing of Information

We do not sell or share personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

Data may be shared with:

• Internal UKGF staff (for job management, compliance, and reporting).
• Firebase (Google LLC) for authentication, analytics, and crash reporting.
• Service providers that host or process data on our behalf, under strict confidentiality and data protection agreements.

Where required by law, data may be disclosed to regulatory authorities.

5. Legal Basis for Processing

We process personal data under the following legal bases:

• Contractual necessity: to enable contractors to perform assigned jobs.
• Legitimate interests: to ensure compliance, maintain business operations, and improve systems.

7. Data Retention

• Job-related data (forms, photos, records) will be retained in accordance with UK Glassforce’s operational and legal requirements.
• Account details will be retained as long as you remain an active contractor.
• Crash/analytics data is retained as per Firebase/Google’s retention policies.

8. International Data Transfers

Where data is processed by Google Firebase or other service providers, it may be transferred outside the UK/EU. In such cases, appropriate safeguards are applied to protect your data.

9. Children’s Privacy

The App is intended for authorised adult contractors only. It is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
